Langhe and Monferrato

A land of great wines and truffles, privileged area of international tourists. In the piedmont dialect  the word "langa" indicates  the particular shaped hills,  smoothly profiled, that characterize the landscape in this particular area: a fascinating land which includes most of the Cuneo province, the Alba area downhill to the South (right side of the Tanaro river) till the Northern part of the Liguria mountains and also, for a minor area, in the Asti province : the 'Langa Astigiana' .

Monferrato is a vast hilly region between Torino and the Alessandria area, characterized by large hilly area, dry and windy, covered by vineyards, villages and castles: a very pleasant landscape, beautiful to see in spring and summer but even better in the autumn time, when every village is animated by  grapes harvesting, wine and truffle festivals.
